President Graça meets ASICS Brazil President at FIVB Headquarters
FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° welcomed the President of ASICS Brazil Gumercindo Moraes Neto and ASICS Global Brand Marketing Division Senior General Manager Paul Miles to the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne as they discussed the ongoing cooperation between the two organisations.
The FIVB announced a five-year global agreement with the Japanese athletics company in November 2015 which came into effect from January 1, 2016. As part of the partnership, ASICS supply the tops for the athletes, uniforms for the court personnel and officials in beach volleyball and uniforms for the referees and officials in volleyball. The partnership reflected the FIVB’s constant drive to partner with industry leaders in order to ensure that it continues to set benchmarks as one of the world’s most innovative and dynamic sports.
During the visit, President Graça discussed the FIVB’s partnership with ASICS and took the pair on a tour of the FIVB Exhibition Hall. A presentation was also made on the Exhibition Hall which will utilise innovative and interactive technology to showcase the very best moments from the sport.
FIVB President Ary Graça said: “We are delighted to have ASICS as our partners and to have the opportunity to welcome them to our headquarters in Lausanne. I have no doubt that over the next five years we will find innovative and interesting ways of developing our partnership for the benefit of both our organisations and the sport of volleyball.”
