Morteza Sharifi joins Shahrdari Urmia
TEHRAN – Iran international wing spiker Morteza Sharifi has signed a contract with Shahrdari Urmia volleyball club.
Shahrifi played at Turkish club Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor last season.
He was a member of the Iranian team who were crowned at the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Jiangmen, China in January.
Sharifi started his playing career in Moghavemat Urmia and has also played at Iranian clubs Matin Varamin, Shahrdari Bojnourd, Shams Tehran and Italian club BluVolley Verona.
Sharifi was invited to Iran senior national team by Igor Kolakovic in 2018 and made his debut against France in the 2018 Nations League.
