Iranian Squad Train Hard for Olympic Qualifier
The national volleyball players of Iran started their training on March, 27th under the supervision of Juan Cichello.
As the public Relations of Volleyball Federation reported, the training are held within two groups of A and B. Fourteen players including Saeid Marouf, Sayyed Mohammad Mousavi, Armin Tashakori, Mostafa Sharifat, Farhad ghaemi, hamzeh Zarrini, farhad Nazari Afshar, Milad Ebadipour, Farhad Zarif, Mahdi Marandi, Shahram Mahmoudi, Amir Ghafour, Adel Gholami, and Alireza Behboudi compose group A while group B are arranged with Mahdi Mahdavi, Mohammad Taher Vadi, Ali Nodouzpour, Mikaeil Tajer, Javad Hossein Abadi, Mahdi Ranjbar, Ali Shafei, Mohammad Fallah, Alireza Mobasheri, Rahman Davoudi, Mojtaba Mirzajanpour, Mohammad Javad Manavinejad, and Mojtaba Shaban.
The team manager, Mr. Khosh Khabar said: “the players will not remain in one group all the time and might change their groups depending on exercises”
Raul Lozano is going to join the national players on April, 4th to start the second phase of the preparatory trainings.
It is noteworthy to add that the president of Iran volleyball federation, Dr. Mohammad Reza Davarzani along with the deputy-minister of Youth & Sport, Dr. Sajjadi and also some other officials came to watch some of their training sessions to support the team and to be inspiring for the national team. Iran volleyball federation has gone through different tactics including having the new coach to make the dream of Olympic come true for Iranians after 52 years.
The Olympic Qualifier starts from May, 28 with 12 participating teams in Japan where two four-and-eight teams are to compete with each other.
Iran is in the same pool with Australia, China, Japan (the host), Venezuela, Canada, Poland, and France in Olympic Qualification Games in Japan. These teams will go for a battle to earn four Olympic tickets given to the top three teams along with the best Asian teams.
