The National volleyball team of Iran earned the Olympic berth in the sixth day of Qualification in Japan by beating Poland 3-1.
As the Public Relations of volleyball federation reported, The 52-year-old dream of Iranian came true today on June, 4th. Iran faced Poland, the team that has already saved his place in Olympic Quadrennial with five consecutive wins at 11:00 am in local time. Iran stepped into the court carrying the only loss to France hoping to seal his ticket to Rio. Yes, finally in happened for the first time in history ever. Iran did his way to Rio by overcoming Poland 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 20-25, 34-32).
About 50 Iranian fans supported the team on site at Metropolitan Gymnasium. The president of Iran volleyball federation, Dr. Mohammadreza Davarzani along with Dr. Nasrollah Sajjadi, the vice-minister of Championship Sport and Mr. Manaf Hashemi, The Financial Deputy of Sport Ministry were of the other authorities who were present there to observe this historic moment live.
