Brazil closed Day 11 at the 2021 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League with a 3-1 win over Iran that keeps the reigning Olympic champions in first place of the standings.
Brazil in the First Place of Standing after Winning Iran 3-1
Here’s the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:
Milad Ebadipour (Iran): “It was a tough battle, because we played against Brazil, the best team in the world. I think all the teams in the world should respect them considering how many Olympic and world championship titles they have won. I think that we had our chances to win also other sets, like in the fourth set we played really good volleyball, but they pushed us a lot with the service and it was really difficult to pass the ball. They also had an amazing defence, we were giving our 100% hitting the ball, but they defended it – in my opinion it’s impossible to defend like this, but they do so.”
Isac Santos (Brazil): “It was a hard match. Both teams fought hard. I have a impression that main thing was that we played every point like it is the last one. Every match is like the last one for us, so we are very eager to win every game. Tomorrow will be the same, we play against Australia and we do our best on the court.”
